From the same people (and same designers - us!) that brought you PACC Systems, we'd like to announce another great home improvement product - Spin-Aire! If you own a masonry fireplace, you need Spin-Aire. It provides a constant outside air flow to keep your fire burning more efficienty. White Design Studio is working with Mapcom to produce Spin-Aire packaging, advertising and a companion web site - complete with PayPal-enabled purchasing ability.
Central Light's new facility is coming to life in Mason. The project continues to "flesh out" and is on track for a March 2006 opening. Here are some photos of the unfinished project:

One of our many strengths is designing custom product displays, specific to a particular client's needs. You can see the beginnings of a couple Central Light displays in the photos above. We've been putting the final touches on the Central Light display system - for a preview, click here.

Every year or so, we update our web site to better represent our work and keep things current. This year we have changed the categories we use to organize our projects. We have combined Interactive and Internet into one category called Interactive. This includes web sites, interactive kiosks, databases - or just anything electronic.
We've also added a new category called Events. We have been organizing, designing and building graphics and displays for events for several clients for years now, and recently we've decided that it warranted its own category. Think of us when you are planning that next corporate event or outing. We'll handle everything from a theme to pre-event mailers and invitations to on-site decor, photography and give-a-ways. Who else can do all that?
On a recent trip to Nashville, Tennessee for the International Bluegrass Music Association's annual FanFest and Awards Show, I received an education on the roots of bluegrass in the "Country Music Capitol" of the world. The few days I spent with my brother Nick at IBMA this year not only fulfilled my hunger for bluegrass music, but it also allowed me to experience a new city and culture that I have never experienced before. Nashville is such an awesome town, with rich history and friendly people. From my first step out of the taxi I wanted to shoot everything in site. As you can see, I found the contrast of old and new architecture to be one of my favorite subjects. Check out more of my photos on my photography web site.
Filemaker, for those of you who have never heard of it, is a relational database software package that allows for total customization. The newest version is simply awesome: Cross platform, web based, kiosk mode. It allows for ongoing improvement and increased capabilities. I froth at the mouth just talking about it (Don't get me started). We've used Filemaker to run our business since the beginning and we owe a lot to it. It has made us more efficient, better organized and just generally cooler. I vowed to write a new version of the software that we use everyday here at White Design and launch it January 1, 2006. Although I missed it by a few days, I am happy to say it is now up and running. I would also like to thank my personal trainer/programmer, Mike Bell, for helping with our solution.
